Hello!

This blog is to share wedding inspirations with all of you fellow wedding lovers!

I collect all things wedding, but tend to gravitate towards engagement photos and wedding crafts more than anything. Hope you enjoy!

Also! I only collect these beautiful pictures and ideas from other blogs, none of them are mine unless stated otherwise. You can always go to the original blog by clicking on the photo! Thanks!

joymichelle:

have you ever been to a wedding where they do the “bride dance” where people pay to dance with the bride. Typically the Maid of honor and best man collect the money and people get a chance to dance with the bride. the money goes toward the couples honey moon or house goods…But I’m wondering if you have experienced this and if it worked or was just tacky?

I have not experienced this tradition, but I have heard of it before under the name the “apron dance.” (since the bride puts on an apron over her gown and collects the money in the apron pockets). It originated in Europe  a while ago and I don’t think is a popular tradition in America. Some people feel uncomfortable with the dance and the pressure to give more money since almost all guests will have already spent money on wedding gifts, shower gifts, travel expenses, ect.

What some couples have done if they like the tradition is call it the “dime dance” and give guests change, sometimes under their dinner plates. This way people can still have the fun of the tradition, get to dance with the bride (or groom!) and the guests don’t actually have to pay.

Thanks for the question!
